There is rarely one cause or one fix when it comes to our bodies, because we are a whole person within the context of our lives, and this philosophy is central to my approach. I meet you where you are and seek to understand the multiple factors that contribute to your current level of well-being. This involves a comprehensive medical review, as well as mind-body mapping, which helps us develop an integrative plan that focuses on your priorities.

To enable a holistic approach, the initial consultation is in parts, beginning with you telling your health journey to date. From here, I ask clarifying questions about your medical history and then explore your priorities. The consultation concludes with the formulation of a plan that is followed up on over the coming weeks.
However, some people prefer to talk through their process and hear my opinion, and that’s okay too. I understand that finding a clinician who is available to spend time listening to the whole story is challenging these days. I’m here to do that for you.

The initial consultation involves gathering all the necessary information to formulate a plan that focuses on your priorities, but can also explore areas you may not have realised could be impacting your health and well-being.
Some prefer a one-off appointment to discuss their decision-making, gain a second opinion, or gain a different perspective on their concerns. My menopause approach is integrated and holistic, which many people find reassuring when making decisions about their treatment.

Follow-up or review consultations are crucial for assessing whether the treatment plan is effective and identifying areas for improvement. We can review any results from tests or investigations and adjust our approach or direction in response to them.
These appointments are typically thirty minutes, but it may be appropriate to extend them to an hour. Some women prefer to have their partners attend these consultations to discuss aspects that may be affecting their relationship, ask questions, or seek support.

Committing to a three-consult process allows us to delve deeply into your current health and well-being, as well as how menopause is impacting you. We can implement a plan and check in to see how it is working for you, and tweak or change course as needed.
The initial consultation is one hour, and the two follow-up consultations are each thirty minutes. There will be an option to add another appointment to this package if you decide you’d like more time to fine-tune.

Once you have reached your wonderful new steady state and we have landed on the dosing that works for you, I will send a summary letter to your regular doctor/GP. Any new prescriptions can then be added to your long-term medication list, enabling you to order repeats through your usual general practice.
If you are having trouble accessing repeat prescriptions, I can assist you with this, but please note that this assistance will only include prescriptions commenced or altered by me during our time together.

There is rarely a singular cause for the symptoms or story our bodies are experiencing at any one time. We are complex beings within the context of our lives, and when we take a broader view, we can notice multiple factors that contribute to our current well-being.
During a mind-body general practice consultation, I will help you to explore and identify what is impacting your health. From here, I encourage you to lean into your intuition around what needs your attention, and I will recommend lifestyle changes or courses of action that may help resolve the issues that you prioritise.
